Atlantic Confectionery Ltd.

If you walk down 5th Lane and look up at the R.B. Complex, you’ll find Atlantic Confectionery Ltd. on the second floor. It’s unit 1380. The stairs are a bit steep, so we usually take our time coming up in the morning. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of the machines and people talking over them. We’ve been in this complex for quite some time now. It’s a bit crowded with all the ingredients and packaging materials, but that’s just the nature of what we do. We don’t have any of those modern open-plan offices you see on TV. It’s just desks, work tables, and a lot of boxes. Sometimes it gets a little sticky in there, especially when we’re busy, but we try to keep it as tidy as possible. The light coming through the windows isn't the best, so we rely on the overhead tubes. We don’t spend much on decorating because we’d rather just focus on the products. Most of the staff live nearby, so there’s a lot of local talk during the lunch breaks. We drink a lot of tea and talk about our families while we work. It’s a decent place to be. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the orders are filled and the quality is okay before things go out the door. It’s hard work, and our backs hurt at the end of the day, but it feels good to see the trucks loaded up.
