You can find Aakar Neon over at Plot No-34 on Hanuman Mandir Road. We are tucked away in Ganesh Wadi, specifically behind the Panchamukhi area. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren't familiar with the streets. Our workspace is usually filled with glass tubes and wires. Working with neon is a bit different than just printing things out; it takes a bit of patience and a steady hand. The shop usually has a bit of a glow to it in the evenings when we are testing things out. It’s not a fancy setup. We have old workbenches that have seen better days and floors that could probably use a good scrub, but they serve their purpose. We don't have a receptionist or anyone like that. Usually, if the door is open, someone is inside working. We get a lot of dust from the road, so we spend a fair bit of time wiping things down. It’s a quiet enough spot most of the time, except when the local temple has a festival. Then the whole road gets crowded. We just keep to ourselves and focus on bending the glass or fixing the transformers. It’s been our routine for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around, just a place that does the job for the folks who find us. There is something satisfying about seeing the lights flicker on for the first time.
