This is Shakya Property Developers (Opc) Privatelimited. We are based out of Village Khaksis, which is in the Konch area of Jalaun. The office is really just at Mamta’s place. Being a one-person company means I wear a lot of hats. One day I’m looking at land, and the next I’m dealing with legal papers for a sale. It started because I saw how much people in Jalaun needed someone local they could actually talk to about property without all the corporate talk. I live right here in the village, so everyone knows where to find me if they have a question about a plot of land. It’s not a big operation with a bunch of secretaries. It’s just me and occasionally a bit of help when things get really swamped. The roads around Khaksis can be a bit rough during the monsoon, but I still try to get out to the sites. I don’t have a big marketing budget or a flashy sign. Most people find out about me through word of mouth or just seeing me around town. Property development in a place like this is mostly about knowing the local land and who owns what. It takes a lot of patience. I just keep moving forward, trying to help people get their homes or land sorted out properly without any hidden surprises. I've been doing this for a few years now and it doesn't get any easier, but it's what I know.
