Ramadan Kalawati Hospital is right here at Patel Nagar Ambedkar crossing. It’s a busy spot being near NH25. You can hear the traffic all day from the highway. We’ve been around for a bit now, mostly just dealing with whatever comes through the door. It gets crowded in the mornings because everyone wants to be seen early. The reception desk is always covered in papers. Patel Nagar has a lot of people so there is always someone waiting on the benches. Our nurses are mostly local, so they know the families around here. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular hospital where we try to keep things moving. Sometimes the power goes out but the generator kicks in eventually. We spend a lot of time just talking to patients about their families. It’s not just about medicine, it’s just how the neighborhood is. The building itself is okay, nothing special to look at but it does the job. Most people know us by the big Ambedkar crossing landmark. We keep the floors clean as much as we can with so many people walking in from the dust outside. It's a bit loud sometimes with the trucks on the NH25 passing by but we are used to it by now. Just a normal part of life here in Patel Nagar. We open up early and stay late most days because that is when people need us to be open.
