Laxmi furnitures & interior

We are over here at Station Road in Orai, right near the railway station. If you have been around this part of town, you probably know where the furniture shops are. We handle Laxmi furnitures & interior and have been at this spot for a while now. The shop gets pretty dusty because of all the traffic coming from the station, but we try to keep the sofas and tables clean for anyone walking in. It’s mostly just us working through the day, taking orders for cupboards or fixing up someone’s living room. Sometimes the wood deliveries come late at night because the road gets so jammed during the day. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights, just a regular space where we keep our tools and some finished pieces. Most people find us because they’re getting off a train or live nearby in the neighborhood. We spend a lot of time talking to folks about what kind of wood they want or how a kitchen should look. It's practical work. My hands are usually covered in sawdust by noon. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that’s when we take a break. We don't do much advertising; people just see the sign when they pass by the station. It is a bit noisy with the trains whistling, but you get used to it after a week. We just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the polish looks okay before things go out and are sent to the customer's house.
