Aman Traders

Aman Traders is located in Jawahar Nagar in the Konch area. We are very close to the railway station, so you can always hear the trains coming and going throughout the day and night. The station brings a lot of people through this part of town, so it stays pretty busy. We have a small warehouse and a front office where we handle our trading. It’s not a very modern building, it has some cracks in the walls and the paint is peeling a bit, but it works for what we do. We mostly deal in local commodities. Every morning we check the prices and see what needs to be moved. It’s a lot of physical work, loading and unloading sacks and boxes. We don't have fancy machinery, just a couple of hand carts and a lot of muscle. My brother and I run the place with a few cousins. We don't have a boss telling us what to do, we just know what needs to happen. Sometimes the shipments are late because of the trains, but we’ve learned to be patient over the years. We don't spend money on ads. People in Konch know who we are and where to find us if they need to trade. We have a small radio that we keep on for the news and some music. It’s a simple life, but we like the honesty of it. We are usually here until the sun goes down and the last train passes.
