Ak Sports

We’re situated near Football Chowk in Basti Nav, just off the 150 Feet Ring Road. It’s a good spot because people are always passing by on their way to work or home. At Ak Sports, we mostly deal with all kinds of sports gear and equipment. The shop isn't huge, so things tend to pile up in the corners. You might see a big stack of footballs in one spot and cricket bats in another. It smells like leather and rubber in here, which is fine by us since we’re used to it. The Ring Road is always noisy, so we’ve learned to ignore the sound of trucks and bikes zooming past the door. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People usually find us because they live nearby or they’re heading to the local fields to play a game. We spend time checking the strings on rackets or making sure the jerseys are lined up right on the hangers. It’s not a high-tech operation at all. Just a local sports shop. Sometimes we just sit on the wooden stools and watch the traffic when the shop is slow. The area around Football Chowk has its own vibe, very local and down to earth. We’ve been here for a while and we know the kids who come in for a new ball after school. It’s a simple life for us. Just keeping the shop open and helping out whoever walks in with questions.
