Varinder Singh Mahi

My name is Varinder Singh Mahi and you can find me at Guru Nanak Mission Hospital here in Jalandhar City. I’ve lived in this area my whole life, so working at a local landmark like this hospital feels right. It’s located in the 144001 area, which most people around Jalandhar know well. The hospital stays pretty crowded most mornings. I usually get in early before the rush starts just to settle in. My space is just a regular corner in the building. It's nothing fancy, just a desk and some chairs. Working here means seeing a lot of neighbors and people from the surrounding villages. Jalandhar is a place where everyone kind of knows everyone else, or at least they know someone you know. I spend a lot of time talking to folks and helping out where I can. The building itself has been around for a while, and it has that specific smell of medicine and floor cleaner. Sometimes the power goes out for a minute and we just wait for the backup to kick in. It’s just part of life here. I like that I don't have to travel far for work. My commute is short, which is nice because the traffic near the hospital can be a real mess in the afternoons.
