Trb Exports Pvt. Ltd is based at Trb House, which is right in Dhandari Kalan on the G.T. Road. Being situated on the main road means we see a constant stream of traffic passing by at all hours. The building is a bit of a landmark for those of us who work here. Inside, the day is mostly about logistics. We handle a lot of shipments going out to various places. It is not a quiet office environment; there is usually a phone ringing or someone shouting to be heard over the trucks. We have got stacks of shipping documents on the desks and samples of products sitting on the shelves. We do not have a polished corporate look at all. The paint is peeling in a few spots and the office furniture has seen better days. But it works for what we need to do. We have been in Ludhiana for a long time, so we are used to the rhythm of the city. The workers come in early, and we usually have to stay late to finish up the customs paperwork. We do not bother with big mission statements or anything like that. We just focus on getting the crates packed and moved. It is a lot of physical work and a lot of time spent coordinating with drivers. Sometimes things go wrong with the shipping schedules, and we spend the whole day on the phone.
