Our place, Textra India, is located at D-53 in the SSG Complex on Kapurthala Road. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the center of town, but the complex is easy enough to spot once you get close. We’ve got a unit here that serves as our main base. It’s not a very big space, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need into it. The walls are lined with samples and old folders from years of work. Kapurthala Road is always busy with traffic, so there’s a constant hum of engines in the background while we work. The SSG Complex itself is a bit of a maze, and sometimes the corridors are a bit dark, but we know our way around well enough. Most of our day is spent on the phone or responding to messages about various orders. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees; it’s just a handful of us making sure everything runs smoothly. Sometimes the plumbing in the building acts up, or the internet goes down for a few hours, and we just have to deal with it. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows each other’s business. We have a small kettle in the corner for making tea, which is pretty much the most important piece of equipment we own. It’s a straightforward operation, nothing fancy or polished about how we do things here. We just show up and do our jobs.
