Tapeshwari Garments

You can find us at 123 Jagatnarayan Road. It is a long road with a lot of different shops, but we have been at this number for quite some time. We sell all kinds of garments, mostly stuff that is practical for everyday use. The building is older and has that character you only get with time. We have a big glass window at the front where we put a few of our latest items, but inside is where all the real stock is kept. The shelves go pretty high up, so we keep a small wooden ladder handy for reaching the top boxes. It is usually just me and one other person working here. We start the day by sweeping the sidewalk out front and then getting the racks ready. Jagatnarayan Road gets a lot of foot traffic, especially in the evenings when people are heading home from work. We get a mix of regulars who have been coming to us for years and new people who just happen to be walking by. It can get a bit warm in the shop during the summer months because the ceiling fan is quite old and moves a bit slow. We don't have a computer system or anything; we just write everything down in a big ledger book at the counter. It is a simple way of doing things, but it works for us. We just focus on keeping the shelves full and the shop open for the neighborhood.
