Tandon Arts

Tandon Arts is situated right in Hanuman Chowk, in the Bazaar Kalan area. If you know the bazaar, you know it’s a very old and crowded part of the city. We have been in this spot for a long time. The shop is filled with all sorts of items, and honestly, it’s a bit of a maze inside. We have things stacked from the floor to the ceiling. It’s noisy outside with the shoppers and the vehicles, but that’s just the energy of Bazaar Kalan. Our sign is a bit faded, but people know where we are. We don't do any big advertising. Mostly, people just walk in because they were passing by or someone told them about us. The building has thick walls, so it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is nice. We spend our days talking to customers and moving things around to find what someone is looking for. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We don't use much technology, just a notebook for keeping track of things and a calculator. It’s a bit old-fashioned, I suppose, but it works for us. Every morning we open the shutters and sweep the front, and then we just wait to see who comes by. It's a busy, dusty, and honest kind of life here in the heart of the market.
