You can find us at 508 in Urban Estate. It’s a pretty standard spot, tucked away from the main noise of the city. Inside, it’s mostly just tables covered in blueprints and a few computers that hum all day long. We don’t have any big art on the walls, just some old calendars and maybe a photo of a project we finished a few years back. The air conditioner is a bit loud, so we usually just leave the windows open when the weather allows it. It’s a small team here, just a couple of us who have known each other for a long time. We spend a lot of time leaning over drawings with rulers, trying to make things fit. It isn't always exciting work. There’s a lot of checking local building codes and making sure the plumbing lines up where it should. People come by with ideas, and we try to put them onto paper as best as we can. We usually have a pot of tea going, and the biscuits are always the cheap kind from the shop around the corner. We aren’t trying to be the most famous names in the estate. We just like the work and the quiet routine of drawing houses and shops. It’s a steady way to make a living, and being in Urban Estate means we’re close to home.
