Singh Inderdeep Architect

Inderdeep Singh works out of Rattan Farms over in Wadala. It’s a bit away from the main city noise, which is nice for focusing on drawings. The office is pretty simple, mostly just a place to keep the drafting table and all the site files. We do a lot of work for people building homes in the village or around the outskirts. It’s not about making anything look like a magazine cover, it’s about making a house that actually works for the family living there. We spend a lot of time out in the sun at various construction sites, checking if the pillars are going up right. Sometimes the weather gets in the way of the schedule, but we just deal with it as it comes. People around here know where to find us. We don’t have a big staff, so if you call, you’re usually talking directly to the person doing the work. It’s a lot of back and forth with contractors and laborers. We keep the plans basic and clear so there aren't many mistakes on the ground. The workspace is filled with old rolls of paper and half-empty coffee mugs. It’s just a normal day-to-day routine of designing and checking. We like being based in V.P.O. Wadala because it keeps us close to the actual building projects. It's a steady pace of work.
