Sikka Clinic

Sikka Clinic is over on New Railway Road in Jalandhar City, right near Aravtar Road. It’s a busy part of town with the trains nearby and people always rushing to catch a bus or a ride. The clinic is tucked into a row of shops and other buildings. It’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for the sign. Inside, it’s a bit cramped, but we make the most of the space we have. There’s always a stack of old newspapers and magazines for people to read while they wait. We don’t have a big fancy entrance or a parking lot of our own, so people just park where they can on the street. The noise from the road never really stops, but after a few years, you don't even notice the horns anymore. We’ve seen Jalandhar change a lot from this spot. The clinic stays the same mostly. We have the same wooden desk and the same cabinets we’ve had since the start. It’s a straightforward medical office. No bells or whistles, just a doctor and a couple of helpers. We spend our days writing out prescriptions and checking pulses. Sometimes the tea guy from next door brings over a tray for us. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
