Shiv Forgings

Shiv Forgings is tucked away in Dad Colony, right near the Rama-Mandi Chownk in Jalandhar Cantt. If you know the area, you know it can get pretty loud with all the traffic and the work going on. Our place is at H.No. 11/2. We spend our days dealing with metal and heat. It’s sweaty work, and your hands get dirty within the first five minutes of the shift. We aren't some massive factory with robots. It’s mostly us using our hands and some old machines to get the shapes right. The noise from the hammers and the heat from the furnace is just something you get used to after a week. Jalandhar is a good place for this kind of work. We have people coming in from the colony to help out. Sometimes we run behind on a job because a machine breaks down, and we have to fix it ourselves. No fancy consultants here. We just use a wrench and some patience. Our office is just a desk in the corner of the shop floor. We keep the ledger there and take calls when the noise isn't too loud. It’s a straightforward life. We make parts, we ship them out, and we go home to our families in the evening. That’s how we’ve always done it. It is hard work in Punjab, but it is what we know how to do best without complaining much about the heat.
