Shila International

We’ve been here at D-19 in Focal Point for a while now. It’s a busy spot with trucks coming in and out all day. You might miss the entrance if you’re not looking closely because the sign has faded a bit over the years. Inside, it’s mostly just us working through the piles of orders. There’s a tea stall just around the corner where we usually take our breaks. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, but we try to keep the workspace manageable. We started Shila International without much of a plan, just a few of us wanting to stay busy. Most days involve a lot of checking lists and making sure things get moved to where they need to go. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we’ve learned where to place the buckets. It’s not a fancy office by any means. It’s just a place where we get the work done. The guys here have been with us for years, so we all know how the machines sound when they’re running right. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of what we do is hands-on. If you stop by, you’ll probably find someone drinking chai or yelling over the noise of the neighboring units. It's just how Focal Point is. We’ve stayed at this same address because it’s familiar and everything we need is within walking distance.
