Sharma Archana Architect

Our small office is at 318-C in Urban Estate, Phase II. Archana Sharma and the rest of us work from here, mostly focusing on local building projects. We are not a big firm with a glass office; it is a pretty modest space where we spend most of our hours. Architecture involves a lot more paperwork and phone calls than people realize, so that takes up a good chunk of our day. We also spend time walking around construction sites, often getting our clothes a bit dirty. We do not have a formal way of doing things. We just sit down with whoever comes in and talk about what they want to build. Sometimes the ideas are big and we have to figure out how to make them realistic. We have lived in this area for a long time, so we are familiar with the local streets and how things work around here. It is a quiet office for the most part, unless we have a deadline coming up. Then it can get a bit frantic with everyone trying to finish their drawings. We do not do much advertising. Most people just know we are here in Phase II. We try to be honest about how long things take, as building stuff is rarely fast. It is just us here, doing the best we can with the projects we have. We like the work, even when it is a bit stressful. It feels good to see a drawing turn into a real building.
