Satguru Partap Singh Apollo Hospital

Sherpur Chowk is one of those places where the noise of the city never really stops. Satguru Partap Singh Apollo Hospital sits right there on G T Road, and if you have ever driven through Ludhiana, you know how busy that stretch can be. There are trucks hauling goods day and night, and the horns are a constant sound in the background. We have been here for quite some time now. The building is large, and it takes a while to learn your way around all the different floors and wings. I work here along with a lot of other people who just want to get through the day and help out where we can. It’s not a quiet place. There are always families sitting in the waiting areas, some look tired and others are just passing the time on their phones. We see people coming in from the nearby villages and also from right here in the city. The tea stall just outside the main gate does a lot of business because people need their caffeine to keep going during those long hours. Sometimes the elevators are slow, and you end up taking the stairs just to save time. It’s a busy life here at the hospital. We don’t have much time for standing around and chatting, but we try to be kind to the people who are clearly having a hard day.
