Our office is located at my residence, which is number 12 in Tagore Nagar, Jalandhar. We are right by the Shehnai Palace, which most people in the area know quite well. It’s a bit different working out of a home, but it makes the whole experience a lot more personal and less stiff than a corporate office. When you walk in, you’ll see stacks of files and ledgers everywhere because there is always a lot of paperwork to get through. It’s a quiet street for the most part, except when there’s an event at the palace nearby. We’ve been handling accounts and various professional tasks from this spot for quite some time now. Clients usually just drop by and we sit down in the front room to go over their documents. There’s usually a pot of tea going, and we keep things very informal. We don't wear suits unless it's absolutely necessary. Most of our day is spent looking at numbers and making sure everything adds up correctly. Jalandhar has its own pace, and we try to stick to it. It’s just me and a small team working away, trying to stay on top of the deadlines. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby. People find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby. It’s a simple, practical way to run a business. We often work into the night during the busy tax season.
