S K Vatta And Co is right at Milap Chowk, which is one of those places in Jalandhar that everyone knows because of the traffic. We are on the first floor of the Khanna Building. It’s an old building, but it has a lot of character and it’s right in the heart of Jalandhar City. Being at the chowk means there is always something happening outside the window. We spend a lot of time looking out at the cars while we think about the files on our desks. The office itself is full of paper. We try to keep it organized, but sometimes the stacks get a bit high. It’s a busy environment because of where we are located. People are always popping in and out of the Khanna Building. We don't have any fancy coffee machines; we just get whatever is being served nearby. The walls have some marks on them from moving desks around over the years, and the floor is a bit worn in the high-traffic spots. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We just want to get through the work and help the people who come to see us at Milap Chowk. It’s a practical place for a practical job. We’ve been here long enough that the noise doesn't even bother us anymore. It’s just the sound of the city moving around us while we work. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound but it keeps us cool.
