Rozgar International

You can find Rozgar International in the upper basement of Prime Tower on GT Road. Being in a basement means we don’t get much of a view, but it keeps the office a bit cooler during those hot Jalandhar summers. We’re quite close to Hotel President, so that’s a good landmark for people coming from out of town. The traffic on GT Road is constant, you can hear the rumble of the trucks even from down here. Our space is pretty basic, just unit 005 with some computers and a lot of chairs for people looking for work. Since we handle international stuff, there’s always a lot of talk about different countries and what the jobs are like there. I spend a lot of time just listening to people’s stories and trying to figure out where they might fit. It’s a lot of responsibility, so we try not to rush things too much. The office lights are those long fluorescent tubes that sometimes flicker, but they get the job done. We keep a big jug of water by the door because everyone who comes in seems to be thirsty from the walk down the stairs. It’s a busy life here in the tower, but we’ve gotten used to the pace of it over the years. We just stay focused on the paperwork and the people who walk through that door every day.
