We are situated at C-46 in the Focal Point Extension. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but we needed the space for all the storage and the shipping containers. We handle a lot of export business, which means we spend a lot of time on the phone or dealing with paperwork that seems to never end. The warehouse is pretty high, and we’ve got shelves stacked up with goods waiting to go out. It’s mostly quiet during the middle of the day, but then it gets chaotic when the containers arrive for loading. We don't have a fancy corporate office, just some desks pushed together in a room with a view of the loading dock. There’s usually a pot of tea going in the corner because the days can get pretty long when we’re waiting on customs clearances or truck drivers. We started this because we knew a few people abroad who needed things from here, and it just grew into a regular job. We don't really do much in the way of sales pitches. We just find what’s needed, pack it up tight, and make sure it gets to the port on time. The road out here is full of potholes, so we’re always worried about the trucks, but that’s just part of the daily stress. It’s a simple operation run by a handful of us who just want to get the work done.
