Raj Bangles Store

If you ever find yourself walking through Attari Bazar in Jalandhar, you might pass by our little spot. Raj Bangles Store is tucked in there among all the other shops and the crowd. It is always busy in the bazar. People are shouting, motorcycles are trying to squeeze through, and there is always something going on right outside the door. We have boxes of bangles stacked up almost to the ceiling in some places because we run out of shelf space. It is not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is kept. Jalandhar is a lively city and being in Attari Bazar means we see all sorts of people every day. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been here for a long time. The lighting inside isn't great, but it’s enough to see the different colors and designs we have. We spend most of our time unpacking new stock or helping someone find exactly what they need for a wedding or a gift. It gets cramped when there are more than three customers inside at once. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door during the monsoon season. We just put a bucket down and keep going. We aren't trying to be the biggest store around, just a steady place where people in the neighborhood know they can find us. It is a simple life here in the market.
