Christmas Gift Box

Our shop is located in Phillaur, right above the PNB Bank on NH-1. It’s a handy spot because everyone knows where the bank and the L.I.C. office are. We spend our days making boxes. Not just any boxes, but the kind people use for gifts. It sounds simple, but there is a lot of folding, gluing, and stacking involved. Our workspace is often covered in scraps of paper and bits of ribbon. It gets quite cramped when we have a big order to finish. Since we are right on the highway, it’s always noisy with trucks passing by. We don't mind it much. We aren't a big factory; it's mostly just a few of us sitting around tables getting the work done by hand. Sometimes our fingers get sore from all the folding, but we keep at it. People come up the stairs looking for packaging, and we show them what we have ready. We don't have a fancy catalog or a website that works right. Usually, we just show people the physical samples we have sitting on the shelves. It’s a bit old-fashioned, I suppose. The light in the shop is okay during the day, but we really need better lamps for the evenings. We’ve been in this Phillaur location for a bit now and the locals know us. We just focus on making sure the boxes are sturdy enough to hold whatever someone puts inside them. It is just basic work but it keeps us all going.
