Narang Paints & Chemicals

If you walk down New Dashmesh Nagar Road near the Ghas Mandi area, you will find Narang Paints & Chemicals tucked away in Basti Sheikh. It is a lively neighborhood, mostly filled with the sounds of people working and trucks moving through the narrow spots. Our place is usually covered in a bit of dust and the smell of whatever we are mixing that day. It is not a quiet job, that is for sure. We have got tins of paint stacked up nearly to the ceiling sometimes and it takes a bit of navigating to get around the back. Most of our days are spent checking labels and making sure the chemicals are stored right so nothing goes wrong. People from around the Basti come in looking for specific shades or just asking what works for their walls. We try to keep things organized but when it gets busy, the floor ends up with a few spills here and there. It is just the reality of dealing with paints. We have been in this spot for a while and have seen the road change quite a bit over the years. The weather affects how the paint dries and how many people show up, so we are always watching the sky. It is a bit of a messy business, but we like the routine of it. We just open up early and stay until the work is finished for the day.
