Military Hospital

If you go down Nalwa Road in Jalandhar, you’ll find the Military Hospital. It’s a huge place because Jalandhar is a big hub for the army. MH JALANDHAR is what everyone calls it. The road outside is always packed with rickshaws and trucks, so there is a lot of honking all day long. Inside the hospital, it is a bit like a maze. We have different wings for everything, and sometimes even I get lost if I’m not paying attention. I’ve been here for years, and I’ve seen the buildings grow as more wards were added. The Nalwa Road entrance is always busy with people coming and going. We have a lot of retirees who come in for their regular checkups, so the waiting areas are usually full of old stories being told. The staff is always running around because there is always something to do. We have these big corridors that catch the breeze in the evening, which is the best time of day here. The water coolers are the most popular spots in the building. It isn't a quiet or calm place, it’s a working hospital with a lot of energy. We go through thousands of files and liters of cleaning fluid every week. It’s just the reality of a big place like MH JALANDHAR. We don't put on any acts; we just get to work and go home when the shift is over.
