Lords Leather Company

Lords Leather Company is based out of 528 New Model House. It’s a place that smells like leather the moment you step inside, which I guess is what you’d expect. We’ve been working out of this spot for years. It’s not a showroom with fancy lights; it’s more of a workshop where things actually get made. We handle hides, tools, and heavy machinery all day long. Leather is a tough material to work with, but we’ve got the hang of it after doing it for so long. Every piece of skin is a bit different, so you have to pay attention to what you’re doing or you’ll waste good material. We aren't a huge factory. It’s just a few of us here at New Model House making sure the quality stays where it should be. We don't spend much on advertising because word of mouth has always worked fine for us. People know where we are if they need something that’s going to last. The work is dusty and can be hard on the hands, but there’s a satisfaction in finishing a piece. We keep the benches organized—or we try to, anyway—and we make sure the orders go out on time. It’s a simple operation, really. No big titles or complicated rules, just people who know how to work with leather and want to do a decent job of it. We take each day as it comes and keep the machines running to meet our promises to the people who buy from us.
