We are based at B X 774 in the Industrial Estate G-7, which is quite close to the Bsnl Exchange near Lamba Pind Chowk. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by other workshops and warehouses, so it is a very work-heavy environment. There is always the sound of machinery or trucks in the background. At Jay Dee Sales Corporation, we spend a lot of time counting stock and moving boxes around. The Bsnl Exchange is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. Our building is pretty plain, just brick and concrete, and the yard is usually full of crates. It is a lot of physical work, lifting and shifting things to make room for new arrivals. We have a small desk for the phone and the ledger, but most of the action happens on the floor. The weather gets really hot in the summer, and the tin roof doesn't help much, but we keep the water cooler full and keep going. We know most of the other guys working in G-7. We help each other out if someone needs a hand with a heavy load. It is just a regular sales and supply operation. Nothing flashy about it, just honest work done by a small team in a busy corner of the estate. We stay until the last truck is gone.
