Kumar Engineering Corporation

We are located at E-58 in the local Industrial Area. Kumar Engineering Corporation is the name on the board outside, though most people just call us by the plot number or just Kumar's. The workshop is always full of the sound of cutting and grinding metal. It is a noisy environment, but you get used to it after the first few days. We have various machines set up across the floor, and there is always a project or two in pieces being worked on. The floor is usually covered in a bit of oil and metal shavings, which is just part of the engineering life. We don't have a fancy reception area. If someone comes to see us, they usually walk right into the shop and find us near the lathes. We do a lot of custom work and repair jobs for other businesses in the industrial area. Sometimes the drawings we get are just sketches on a piece of scrap paper, and we have to figure it out from there. It is satisfying to take a raw piece of steel and turn it into something useful. We drink our tea standing up most of the time. The weather gets hot under the tin roof in the summer, but we keep the fans going and just get on with the work. It is a straightforward shop where we value things that work correctly and last a long time.
