My office is over at 40 Sehgal Colony, right on Ladowali Road. I’ve been practicing as an architect from this location for quite a few years now. It’s a familiar spot for many people in the area who are looking to build or renovate. The space is filled with old project files and drawing boards. Even though everything has gone digital these days, I still like to keep some of the old ways of doing things around. I spend my time working on building designs, mostly houses and some small commercial spots. People come to me when they have a piece of land and a rough idea of what they want. I take those ideas and try to turn them into something that can actually be built within a budget. It’s a lot of back and forth with the clients and the contractors. Ladowali Road is a central place, so it’s easy for me to get out to different sites across the city. I don't have a big staff or a fancy marketing department. It’s just me doing the work and making sure the plans are accurate. I’ve seen a lot of buildings go up around here over the years. Some were easy and some were real puzzles to solve. I just enjoy the process of seeing a drawing turn into a real structure. It's a quiet office mostly, except for when the phone starts ringing or someone drops by with a site map.
