I set up my practice at Nb-172 in Preet Nagar. It’s right near Doaba Chowk, which is a busy part of town. The office isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a regular building where I do my architectural work. Inside, it’s mostly just books, rolls of blueprints, and a few computers. I spend most of my time drawing and calculating things for local building projects. Being near the chowk means there’s always noise from the traffic, but you get used to it after a while. I handle a lot of the residential work for people in the neighborhood. They come in looking for help with their house plans or to figure out how to add an extra room. I try to give them honest advice on what will work and what won't. I don't use a lot of fancy jargon; I just explain things in a way that makes sense. It’s just me and a small amount of help when I need it. Sometimes I’m out at a construction site getting my boots muddy, and other times I’m stuck behind the desk all day. It’s a mix of different tasks. I’ve been an architect for a while now and I’ve learned that the simplest plans are often the ones that turn out the best.
