The office is down on the ground floor of House No.29-A. We are right in Rajiv Gandhi Vihar, over in the Surya Enclave area. It’s a busy spot because we’re so close to the railway crossing. You can hear the trains go by sometimes while we’re working on designs. It’s just a regular space where we sit and figure out how to put buildings together. I’ve got my tables set up and enough coffee to keep things moving. People from around the enclave come in with all sorts of ideas for their plots. Some want something modern, while others just want a sturdy house that fits their family. I spend a lot of time checking local codes and drawing up blueprints that actually work. It’s not always glamorous work. A lot of it is just making sure the plumbing goes where it should and the stairs aren't too steep. We’ve been here for a bit now, so we know the local landscape pretty well. The traffic near the crossing can be a bit much in the mornings, but it means people know exactly where we are located. I like being on the ground floor because it’s easy for clients to just walk in without dealing with stairs. We don't have a big reception desk or anything, just a place to sit and talk about your project. It's a straightforward way to run an architecture practice and get things done for people.
