Kaur Damanpreet Architect

My practice, Kaur Damanpreet Architect, is located at 151, Hardyal Nagar, just off Garha Road. It’s a residential area, so the office has a very home-like feel to it. I’ve set up my workspace in a part of the building that’s easy for people to access from the street. Hardyal Nagar is a nice neighborhood, and being on Garha Road means I’m close to a lot of the sites I visit during the week. I don't go for a cold or sterile office environment. My space is full of books, samples of materials, and plenty of sketches pinned to the walls. It can get a bit crowded when I have a lot of different projects going on at once. I usually work alone, but I have a few people I call when I need help with the site visits or the heavy lifting. People often drop by to ask questions about building their homes or fixing up old shops in the area. I try to keep things grounded and practical. It’s not about making something look like a magazine cover; it’s about making it work for the people living there. I’ve been at this address for a while now, and most of my work comes from people nearby who have seen what I do. It’s a quiet life of drawing and planning. I like the pace of it. I’m usually here if the light is on in the front window.
