K. K. Tanners

K. K. Tanners is located near Ravi Dass Chowk, on Model House Road. It is a spot that most locals know pretty well. Being near the chowk makes it easy to give directions. We’ve been at this Model House Road location for years. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but it’s where all the tanning work gets done. K. K. Tanners is just a group of us who have been doing this for a long time. It’s messy work sometimes, and the smell of the shop is something you just get used to. We don't have a reception desk or a waiting room. Usually, if someone comes by, they just walk into the main area and find one of us. We keep things pretty informal. Model House Road can be quite crowded, especially during the market hours. We just focus on the hides and the process. There aren't any big speeches here about what we do. We just do it. Our space near Ravi Dass Chowk is filled with tools and vats. It is a practical environment. We don’t bother with much else besides the daily tasks at hand. It’s a local business through and through. We are just K. K. Tanners, and this is where we work. We don't try to make it sound more important than it is. It's just honest work in a familiar neighborhood. We like it that way.
