Joshi Munish Architect

My office, Joshi Munish Architect, is located at Hari-Bhawan, right near the Civil Hospital on G.T. Road. It’s a busy area, especially with all the traffic coming off the main road at all hours. I’ve been here for a good while now. The building is an older one, but it has a lot of character even if the paint is peeling a bit. Inside, it’s mostly just my drafting table, some chairs for visitors, and stacks of blueprints. G.T. Road is a landmark in itself, so people rarely have trouble finding the place once they get close to the hospital. I don't really go for the modern, minimalist office look that you see in magazines. It feels more like a real workspace where things actually get done. Sometimes the noise from the hospital sirens or the road gets inside, but I’ve learned to tune it out when I'm drawing. I focus on the drawings and the structural details. Being an architect here means I see a lot of different types of construction happening nearby. I spend a lot of my time sketching out ideas or checking local regulations. It’s a one-man show for the most part. I like being near the hospital because everyone knows this corner of town. It makes things easier for quick meetings. I’m usually here from early morning until late evening. It’s just a simple office for someone who likes to build things. No need for anything more than that.
