Jagdambay Forgings

We are based at 120 Feet Road, right near the Babu Jagijivan Ram Chowk in Guzan. In our shop, Jagdambay Forgings, we spend our days dealing with heat and metal. It is a very physical job and it gets pretty exhausting by the time we close up for the night. The shop floor is always busy with someone working a forge or moving heavy pieces of iron around. We are located right by the chowk, so there is always a lot of activity outside our doors too. We don’t put on any acts here. We just show up, put on our gear, and start the work. The hammers make a lot of noise, and you can feel the vibrations in the floor when the big machines are running. It is a tough environment, but we are used to it by now. We focus on making sure the forgings are done to the right specs. There isn't much room for mistakes when you are working with hot metal. We talk to each other in short sentences because of the noise. The office is just a corner with a desk and some old ledgers. We don't need much more than that. Most of our time is spent out where the work is actually happening. It’s honest work that leaves you tired, but we’ve been doing it a long time here in Guzan.
