Ekam Service

If you go down to Phagwara Gate, you’ll find us at Shop Number 3. It’s a busy part of town and there is always noise from the street. We’ve been running Ekam Service from this little spot for some time. It isn't a huge place, just a simple room with our tools and parts scattered around. Most days start with us pulling up the shutter and sweeping out the front. We do a lot of different repairs and general service work, so there is always something different on the workbench. Some days it’s quiet and we just sit and watch the traffic go by the gate, but usually, there’s a pile of things waiting to be fixed. We don’t use any big computers to track stuff, just some notebooks where we write down what needs doing. It gets a bit cramped when a lot of people come in at once, but we manage to get through it. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, but it’s enough to see what we are working on. We try to keep things organized, though by the afternoon, tools seem to end up everywhere. There’s a tea stall nearby that we visit a few times a day. It’s just the way we work here, nothing too fancy or complicated. We know the people around Phagwara Gate well and they know where to find us when something breaks or needs a look-over. It is a humble setup but it works for us.
