J. K. Toughened Glass Works

J. K. Toughened Glass Works is located over in the Bhag Singh Building. It's right on Old Railway Road, which is always packed with traffic and people moving about. The building itself has been there for a long time, and you can tell by the stairs and the walls. We have our setup inside where we handle the toughened glass. It's a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the heat is just right for the glass to strengthen. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we are used to the noise from the street and the machinery. Sometimes the deliveries take a bit longer because the road gets so congested, especially during the morning rush. We don't really do much advertising; most people just know we're here because they've walked past the building for years. The space is a bit tight with all the sheets of glass leaning against the walls, so you have to watch your step when you come in. We spend most of our time checking the edges and making sure everything is sized right. It’s practical work. No one here wears a suit. We just wear what’s comfortable for moving heavy crates. It’s been this way for as long as I can remember. Usually, someone is always around to talk if you have a question about a piece of glass, provided they aren't mid-cut.
