J. D. Leathers

We are based out of 19 Leather Complex on Kapurthala Road. The name on the door is J. D. Leathers. Being in the Leather Complex makes a lot of sense for us because everything we need is right around here. It’s a busy spot with lots of other businesses doing similar things. Our unit isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we handle all our leather work. There’s usually a bit of dust and the constant sound of stuff being moved around. We have a handful of people working here, most of whom have been with us for years. We don't really bother with big signs or marketing. People find us because they know where we are located. The road outside can get quite muddy when it rains, and the traffic is often slow with all the heavy vehicles. Inside, we just keep things moving as best as we can. It’s a lot of physical work, sorting through hides and checking the quality of what comes in. The office part is just a small corner with a desk and some old filing cabinets. We don't need much more than that to get by. We just focus on getting the orders out on time and making sure the work is done right. It’s a simple, honest way for us to make a living. We’ve been at number 19 for a long time and we don't plan on moving anywhere else soon. It’s home for the business.
