We are set up over in Krishan Nagar, right on Mandi Road in Jalandhar City. Our building is Ef 456, and if you know where the Jain STD is, we are just across from that. It’s a lively neighborhood with people always walking by and shops everywhere. We’ve been here for a good while, dealing with paperwork and international stuff for people. The office is pretty standard, nothing over the top. We have some old desks and a couple of computers that have seen better days, but they work fine. Jalandhar can get really dusty in the summer, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the front windows. Most of the people who work here live just a few streets away, so it’s a local crowd. We see a lot of faces coming in to ask about work or travel. It’s a lot of talking and explaining things to folks who might be a bit confused about the process. We keep a fan going all day because it gets quite warm inside. There isn't much room for a big lobby, so people often end up chatting near the entrance. It’s a very hands-on kind of environment. We just do our jobs and try to answer questions when someone walks through the door. It’s been our home base for years and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street outside. It's usually quite busy during the afternoons.
