Gujarat Ambuja Ropar

We are based out in the village of Seh Jhangi, near Basti Gujan in Jalandhar. The office is set up with Sharanjit Singh and Dalvir Singh, handling things for Gujarat Ambuja Ropar. It’s a very local operation, right in the heart of the Punjab countryside. You won't see any big corporate logos or fancy lobbies here. It’s mostly about working with the local community and getting cement to the farms and houses being built nearby. The pace is a bit different than the city. We spend a lot of time talking to people face to face. The office is simple, just a room with the necessary furniture and books to keep track of everything. Since we are in a village, everyone knows everyone else, and news travels fast. We handle the orders as they come in and try to make sure the deliveries don't get stuck on the narrow village roads. It’s practical, everyday work. We deal with the dust and the weather just like everyone else around here. There is no corporate polish on what we do. We just make sure the cement gets to where it’s needed and the accounts are kept honest. It’s a small, family-style environment where we just focus on the task at hand. Dealing with the paperwork is slow sometimes, but we get through it eventually. It's just part of the local life.
