Grasim Industries Ltd. (Cement Division)

Our spot here in Jalandhar is a bit different because we operate out of a space c/o Mr. Puran Singh in Ganesh Nagar. It’s located in Basti Nau, which is a lively part of town. This is the cement division of Grasim Industries Ltd., but it feels more like a small neighborhood office. We have a modest setup at 93/13 where we manage the local distribution and logistics. It’s a lot of sitting around the table, going over orders and making sure the Punjab routes are clear. The area is full of people, and there’s always noise from the street. We like being here because it’s easy for the local workers and contractors to drop by and chat about their needs. We don’t have a big corporate sign or anything like that. It’s just a place where we do the paperwork and keep the records straight. Mr. Puran Singh’s place has been a steady base for us. We handle the invoices, talk to the dealers, and try to keep everyone happy with their supplies. It’s straightforward work. We don’t try to make it sound more important than it is. We just want to make sure the cement gets to where it’s going without too many headaches. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know.
