Garg Salil Architect

Our place is at 5186 Rattian Street in Nakodar. It’s a regular street and the office is pretty modest. Salil Garg started this quite some time ago. We do a lot of residential work for people in the neighborhood who are looking to add a room or build a new house on their plot. We aren't trying to win any design awards; we just want to make sure the house is safe and fits the family living in it. We have a couple of desks and a lot of pens. We draw things by hand sometimes still, though we use the computer for most of it now. People stop by all the time just to ask a quick question about a wall or a roof. We don't mind. It’s part of being in a small town like Nakodar. We know the local builders and they know us, which makes the whole process a lot smoother for everyone. We don't use any corporate lingo or try to sound more important than we are. We just draw the plans and help with the paperwork. Sometimes we go out to the sites to see how the work is going. It’s a good feeling to see a drawing become a real house that people can actually live in. We keep regular hours but you can usually catch someone if you call early.
