Daljit Singh Cheema

My name is Daljit Singh Cheema and you can usually find me over at Cheema Hospital. We are situated in Cheema Nagar, which is right on Mithapur Road in Jalandhar City. If you’ve ever driven down Mithapur Road, you know how packed it gets. There’s always something happening outside the doors. I’ve been part of this community for a long time now, and the hospital is just a part of that. It’s not one of those new, shiny places that looks like a hotel. It’s a real place for real problems. We deal with whatever comes through the door. Sometimes it’s a long day, sometimes it’s even longer, but that’s just the nature of work here in 144001. I don’t really like the way most businesses talk about themselves these days with all those slogans. To me, it’s just about being here when someone needs you. Cheema Nagar is a busy little pocket of Jalandhar. You get to know the shopkeepers and the people walking their kids to school. It’s a very local vibe. I’ve lived and worked in Jalandhar City for most of my life and I don't see that changing anytime soon. The hospital building itself has seen a lot of years. It has character, I suppose you could say. We just try to keep things simple and honest. No big corporate meetings, just people helping people in our own small way.
