Charanjiv Bal Hospital

Charanjiv Bal Hospital is situated right near the bus stand on GT Road. Being so close to the bus stand means there is always a lot of activity outside. You hear the horns and the conductors shouting all day long. Because we are a Bal hospital, which means we focus on kids, the waiting room is usually full of children. Sometimes they are crying, and sometimes they are running around the chairs while their parents try to keep them still. The floor is made of simple tiles that we have to mop quite often because of all the feet coming in from the dusty GT Road. We have a few benches and some posters on the walls about health. The doctors stay busy moving between the small exam rooms. It can get a bit hectic during the middle of the day when the buses are arriving and departing frequently. People come from quite far away sometimes because it is easy to reach us by public transport. We keep a stash of charts and thermometers ready at the front desk. The air conditioning works hard but sometimes the heat from the street still finds its way in. We are used to the noise and the fast pace of this location. It is just the way things are here near the bus stand. We get through the day by helping one family at a time and making sure the records are kept straight.
