Vishal Publishing Company is right in the heart of the Books Market on Old Railway Road. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets with all the paper and shops. It’s a busy place with people always moving boxes of books around. Our shop is filled with stacks of paper and finished books from floor to ceiling. It smells like ink and old paper in here, which is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We spend our days dealing with printers and checking manuscripts. It’s a lot of small details and sometimes our eyes get tired from all the reading. We don't have a modern office with glass walls. We have wooden shelves and old desks that have seen a lot of work. People come in and out all day looking for different titles. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific book in the stacks, but we usually know where everything is. We aren't trying to be the biggest publisher, we just like putting books out there. Old Railway Road is a noisy place, but it’s where all the action is for the book trade. We’ve been part of this market for a long time. It’s a lot of hard work, but seeing a new book finished is always a good feeling. We usually have some tea on the go if you want to stop by.
