I am stationed at the Mini Phc in Talwan, which is part of Jalandhar. It is a small health center, just like the name says. We do not have a huge staff or a lot of fancy machines. Most of what we do is basic care for the local people. I have been here for a while and I have gotten used to the rhythm of the place. Some mornings are very quiet, and then suddenly everyone shows up at once. It keeps me on my toes. I try to keep the place clean and organized, though it is a constant battle with the dust. Jalandhar can be a bit overwhelming, but Talwan feels a little more manageable. I handle a lot of the patient visits myself. I am not much for big speeches or medical theories. I just look at what is wrong and try to help. We get supplies delivered once a week, and that is always a busy day. I write everything down in my ledger because I do not trust computers much. It is a simple way to work, but it works for me. People know where to find us if they need a checkup or a bit of advice. I do not spend money on flyers or ads because everyone knows the Mini Phc is here. We are just a small part of the neighborhood, doing what needs to be done every day.
