Ar Metal Works

At Ar Metal Works, we have been working out of M-2A in the industrial area for quite some time now. It’s a small setup really. We spend most of our time cutting and bending metal sheets for whatever projects come our way. The floor is usually covered in scrap pieces and metal dust by noon but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We have a couple of welding machines that stay busy throughout the day. You can hear the grinding noise from down the street if the doors are open. It’s a tough job on the hands and we always have grease under our fingernails. We don’t really do any big advertising or have a sales team. Usually, someone just walks in or calls us because they heard we do decent work with iron and steel. We manage everything ourselves from buying the raw material to finishing the edges so they aren't sharp. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the day fixing a motor or replacing a belt. It gets pretty cramped inside when a big load of pipe arrives. We just move things around and keep going. It’s honest work and it pays the bills for the families working here. We just try to stay focused and get the orders out the door when we said we would.
