Angad Auto Spares

Down here on St. No. 1, Dr. Sood Wali Gali, things are always moving. If you know this street, you know it gets pretty crowded with rickshaws and people looking for parts. We have been running Angad Auto Spares out of this small spot for years. The shelves are packed right up to the ceiling with boxes. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for because there is so much tucked away in the back corners. We deal with all sorts of engine bits, brakes, and lights. Most of the people who come in are local mechanics or guys trying to fix their own scooters on the weekend. We have a lot of conversations across the counter about why a certain engine is making a knocking sound or which oil is better for the summer heat. It is a simple shop. There is no air conditioning, so we keep the front open even when it is dusty outside. We drink a lot of chai while we check the inventory lists. It is good to be part of the community here in the gali. People know they can just drop by and ask if we have a specific bolt or a gasket. We don't do anything fancy, just sell the parts that keep the vehicles in town running. It is a busy life but we like the routine and the familiar faces that come through the door.
